A 130 sqm apartment in Rome, with the idea of making the kitchen a large table to promote gathering and sharing. The project’s keyword: “craftsmanship.” To honor the Calabrian origins of the homeowner, we decided to use Grisolia stone, a material exclusively processed in Cetraro (CS) and never before used for design objects. The entire kitchen was handcrafted using limestone, combined with a wooden structure and an iron base. The kitchen doesn’t rest on the floor but stands on wrought iron legs, evoking the concept of a large table.
Designed and built this way, it rests on Burgundy oak parquet and is accompanied by a reclaimed door from the client’s grandmother’s house These spaces have two souls: innovative design and a handcrafted heart.
